Harold Ramis, our greatest ever movie director (Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, Groundhog Day) and writer (those plus Stripes and Animal House) passed away at age 69.

He played such a role in my fist adult humor films when I was a teenager. Vacation, Caddyshack, Animal House, etc... So many quotable lines. So many screenshots to use 35 years later.

Actually upset at this. He was part of everything from the 80s that I remember. And he was funny as shit.

Just read that obit a few minutes ago. Cool dude...older than I would've thought him to be, but still an early time to go.

He always seemed to have a grin. There was a lot of humor and mischief in his head. Not a bad way to go through life.
While he was a prolific writer, he was also the heart of many if the films he was in. I would put Stripes and Ghostbusters in that bucket.
